Convert JPG to TGA
TGA (Targa) editing is not supported on
Windows by default. However, there are a few good programs that
can handle TGAs for free. We chose IrfanView because we find it
easy to work with, it's free and it doesn't install anything
nasty as a bonus, unlike a lot of other programs. You can get
it from their official website or download
directly from us here.
We've included instructions on how to quickly setup
IrfanView. If you already have it installed then skip
ahead.

1.
Open
IfranView Setup and click
"Next"
.
2.
Click "Next"
3.
If on Vista/Windows 7 choose the 2nd
option. Otherwise choose the
first.
4.
Click "Next"
5. Select The image formats
you would like to associate with the program.
We do recommend to Press "Images
only" as
the program is very comfortable to handle
all image files.
6.
Click "Next"

1.
Open the JPG file you would like to
convert in
IrfanView. From the "File" menu on top choose "Save
as" (Alternatively
you can just press S on your
keyboard).

2. Under "Save as type" choose "TGA -
Truevision Targa", give your file a name and choose where you
would like to save the file (e.g.
Desktop)

All done! Now you can browse to the
location where you saved the file (e.g. desktop) and use it as
intended.
